Somerset Rural Life Museum
Visit the Someret Rural Life Museum where you can explore rural life from the 1800s onwards.
There's lots to learn about the county’s heritage including its landscapes, food and farming, working life and rural crafts.
Open Wednesday to Saturday 10.00 am – 5.00 pm and Bank Holiday Mondays
Admission is currently by advanced booking only. - a few changes have been made to put your safety first and face coverings are required.
The Museum is on the site of the former Abbey Farm.
The ticket price is very reasonable and allows you to visit for a year!
As is only natural in rural life there is also a lot of outdoor spaces
There is a beautiful museum orchard and activities for all the family. You can learn the names of the apple trees, peek inside the shepherd hut and explore the inside of a chicken coop.
Kids trails are available to help explore the farm.
As the seasons and the Museum exhibitions change there is always something new to discover about life at Abbey Farm and the museum collections.
There are often Family Fun days, Toddler Explorers and activity days on in the school holidays.
